Service Overview

At Wildstone, the best projects are built by teams that work together from the start. Collaborative contract delivery brings owners, designers, engineers, and builders into alignment early, managing risk openly and shaping scope and cost before commitments are locked in. It is less about a single contract type and more about a way of working.

We are comfortable carrying risk. Lump sum, turnkey, Construction Management, Design-Build, EPC; we have delivered all of them on schedule and on budget. Strong financial and bonding capacity backs that up. We are a no-hassle partner, and our reputation is built on long-term relationships, transparent communication, and doing what we say we will do.

Working With Wildstone

Model 01 — Design-Bid-Build (DBB)
The traditional path. You select the engineering consultant, complete the design, then competitively tender the construction. Best for well-defined scopes with stable, low-complexity requirements and time available for sequential design and procurement. Wildstone bids hard-dollar and self-performs to protect quality.

Model 02 — Construction Management (CM)

You retain the engineering consultant, and Wildstone joins early as your construction manager, pricing transparently, managing trades, and overseeing the build for a fee. Best for owners who want builder input early but prefer to keep design and trade contracts separate. Open-book pricing, no procurement surprises.

Model 03 — Design-Build and EPC (including EPCO, EPCM)
We bring the designer and the builder under one contract. One point of accountability for design, engineering, procurement, construction, and where requested, operations and maintenance. Best for technically complex projects — substations, treatment plants, energy facilities — where design-construction integration drives the schedule.

Model 04 — Progressive Design-Build (PDB)
Our specialty. Qualifications-based selection of the team, followed by a Validation Phase that defines scope, cost, and risk together with the owner before issuing a GMP. Best for complex public, P3, and infrastructure projects where the owner wants design influence, cost certainty, and an off-ramp if the project needs change.

Model 05 — Collaborative, Alliance, and Integrated Project Delivery (IPD)

The full collaborative model: owner, designer, builder, and key trades signed to a shared partnering charter, sharing risk and reward. Best for the most complex programs where all parties succeed or fail together. Wildstone has worked partnering and alliance structures across our institutional and First Nations portfolios.

Our Progressive Design - Build Expertise

Progressive Design-Build is the fastest, most transparent way to deliver complex infrastructure. Teams are selected on qualifications, not lowest price, and cost and scope are refined collaboratively before the build begins. Owners defer final pricing commitments until design and project risks are clearly defined, which significantly increases the potential for success.

As the next evolution of traditional Design-Build, PDB introduces a multi-phased process that prioritizes collaboration over price-based competition. It has become the method of choice for owners seeking to mitigate risk, optimize performance, and achieve superior outcomes on complex projects.

Wildstone has completed more than ten Progressive Design-Build contracts across commercial and institutional facilities, energy retrofits, community recreation centres, cultural centres, water treatment facilities, and multi-family residential, every one on schedule and on budget.
