Sarah Steele Health and Rehabilitation Centre
A 35,000 sf health and rehabilitation centre built year-round in downtown Whitehorse — more than doubling the capacity of the facility it replaced, on schedule and on budget.

Sarah Steele Health and Rehabilitation Centre
Wildstone was contracted by the Yukon Government to construct the Sarah Steele Health and Rehabilitation Centre in downtown Whitehorse, replacing the existing drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility on the same site. The new 35,000 sf wood-framed building more than doubles the patient capacity of the previous building. Construction proceeded year-round in Yukon climate conditions, with the building envelope closed in prior to winter to allow mechanical and electrical work to continue through the cold months. Wildstone self-performed the entire mechanical scope. The tight downtown site offered limited laydown and staging area, requiring careful logistics planning throughout.
