Old Crow Water Treatment Plant
Five months. Fly-in only. One of Canada's northernmost water treatment plants.

Old Crow Water Treatment Plant
The Old Crow Water Treatment Plant serves Canada's most northernmost and remote Yukon community, a site with limited road access and a construction window measured in months, not seasons.
Retained by Yukon Government, Wildstone assessed alternate pumphouse locations, water treatment options, and redundant water supply solution, all at one of Canada's northernmost water treatment facilities, accessible only by air.
The challenges were significant: fly-in access only, active flood plains, permafrost, extreme climate conditions, thawing a frozen water well, and keeping the existing facility operational throughout construction.
Wildstone sourced, shipped, and built the entire facility within a five-month window, self-performing all scopes except electrical, and engaging a large First Nations workforce throughout. The project was awarded a Yukon Engineering Services Award in 2013. Delivered for the Government of Yukon.
