Medicine Hat Wastewater Treatment Plant UV Expansion
A ten-month schedule. Deep excavations, major lifts, and a fully operational plant throughout.

Medicine Hat Wastewater Treatment Plant UV Expansion
The Medicine Hat WWTP UV Expansion was an aggressive ten-month build inside an active wastewater facility. Wildstone demolished the existing concrete effluent chamber and converted it into a multi-level UV chamber constructed of concrete and structural steel, and built a new concrete block building to house the UV facility. Two new UV banks were installed alongside vertical turbine and process pumps, wood stave alum tanks, compressors, weir gates, slide gates, new clarifier covers, and process piping.
A large hydro-excavated trench was cut for a new fire line upgrade, with two 48" carbon steel effluent pipe mains cored through an existing concrete wall and hoisted into the new building. Wildstone self-performed all mechanical work and held the general contract with the City of Medicine Hat.
