Liard Elders Complex
The Liard Elders Complex was designed in the shape of an arrowhead, symbolizing strength and direction, and that intentionality runs through every part of the build. The 8,000 sq ft facility includes nine independent living units, each with a private kitchen, along with shared indoor spaces for gatherings, storytelling, and cultural activities. Wildstone self-performed the mechanical scope and made a point of keeping the economic impact local, working with Kilrich Building Centres, a First Nations-run material supplier, and Iyon Kechika Contracting Ltd., the development corporation of the Daylu Dena Council, for civil work.
