Kitimat Water Treatment Plant
Wildstone is leading construction of a new municipal water treatment plant for the District of Kitimat, a major infrastructure upgrade designed to meet modern regulatory standards and eliminate recurring water quality advisories. The facility features advanced water conditioning, direct sand filtration, and UV disinfection, housed in a pre-engineered steel building built to withstand the demands of BC's coastal environment.
Funded through a partnership between the Government of Canada's Green Infrastructure Stream, the Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance, and the District, the plant broke ground in 2025 and is scheduled to reach full operations by early fall 2026.
