Faro Fire Hall & Community Services Building
Faro is a remote community in the Yukon, and it needed a fire hall worthy of the people who protect it. Wildstone delivered the 1,229 m2 Faro Fire Hall and Community Services Building on schedule and well under budget, with a final cost of $8.95 million against a higher client-approved budget. The facility serves the Faro Fire Department, EMS volunteers, and Public Works staff and is the first building in Faro not tied directly to existing water-sewer infrastructure, opening the door for the town to expand essential services. It was also designed to exceed minimum energy efficiency standards by 25%, reducing long-term operating costs for the community.
