Dawson City Water Treatment Plant
Dawson City needed a new water treatment plant built to post-disaster standards, with a complex existing distribution system involving recirculation loops, underground glycol heating, and connections to the City's biomass plant. Wildstone was awarded the project as the most capable and cost-effective contractor and delivered a multi-stage treatment facility incorporating cartridge filtration, UV disinfection, chlorine gas treatment, solar PV, and a biomass/oil hybrid heating system. The building was also designed in consultation with the City's Heritage Advisory Committee to reflect the aesthetic of a 1900s cold storage building. Completed on schedule, it remains a landmark example of what northern infrastructure delivery can look like when it's done right.
