City of Whitehorse Operations Building Heating Upgrade
Wildstone’s mechanical division successfully delivered a targeted mechanical upgrade to the City of Whitehorse Operations Building, with a strong focus on the facility’s heating and hydronic systems. Executed under a Progressive Design-Build model, the project demonstrates our ability to work seamlessly within an active municipal facility while upgrading critical building systems.
The core scope involved the installation of an owner-supplied
hydraulic separator and new welded steel piping, supported by full insulation, instrumentation, and a comprehensive rebalancing of the existing hydronic piping system. These upgrades were designed to improve heating efficiency, circulation balance, and long-term system performance.
Despite the building remaining fully operational throughout construction, our team—working closely with City of Whitehorse operators and s.no Architecture—maintained schedule certainty while resolving additional heating and hydronic flow issues discovered during the process. All solutions were delivered without exceeding the original budget.
