Anahim Lake Solar Project & Battery Energy Storage System
Canada's largest off-grid solar farm is being built in the heart of Ulkatcho First Nation territory, and Wildstone is leading the charge. The 30-acre Anahim Lake Solar Project will generate 5.4 MWDC of clean energy on a repurposed sawmill site, cutting the community's diesel consumption by approximately 1.1 million litres annually and covering 70% of local electricity needs. This project also marks the first-ever Community Electricity Purchase Agreement between a First Nation and BC Hydro, a genuine milestone in Indigenous-led clean energy.
